The Edmonton Oilers have called up defenseman Jeff Petry and forward Gilbert Brule prior to their final away game in the current road trip to be played versus the Minnesota Wild. 23 year old 2-way defenseman Jeff Petry has been one of the bright spots in Springfield this season, not just tallying 22 points in 49 games, but playing an impressive overall game in the process. Gilbert Brule has been oscillating between NHL and AHL play this year and is coming off a six game point streak with the Falcons, adding a total of 9 points in that time. No players have been sent down.
