The Oilers have demoted forward Ryan O'Marra to the Springfield Falcons. O'Marra has played 7 games so far this season, scoring a goal and a helper during that time. Due to Patrick O'Sullivan's return from injury and Sam Gagner's solid play on the top line, O'Marra has been a healthy scratch for three straight games.


Rumours

Speculation over prospect Linus Omark's future has culminated this week, as indications are his contract demands are too steep for the Oilers to handle. No confirmation has been made, but Omark is reportedly interested in above 2M per season, something which an entry level deal can not deliver, unless the signing on bonus is significantly high.

Another interesting rumour is that the Carolina Hurricanes have shown interest in Oilers prospect Toni Rajala, allegedly the Canes offered forward Eric Tangradi in return, something the Oilers have rejected for the time being.
