Edmonton Oilers News (November 25th 2010) "Oilers sign Laich to 4 year deal"
The Edmonton Oilers have signed 27 year old centreman Brooks Laich to a new 4 year deal, adding 3 years to his current contract. His new cap hit will be 2.7M per season for the duration of 2010/11 through the 2012/13 season. Laich has been a mainstay on the Oilers second line since arriving from Washington in a deal for winger Robert Nilsson last year. The Wawota, Saskatchewan, native has put up 7 goals and 8 assists in 21 games this season, being a +3 in the process.
Furthermore, the Oilers have qualified RFAs Matt Lashoff, Patrick O'Sullivan and Ladislav Smid, although none of them, as can be discerned, have signed new deals yet.
